My love for all things pampering began as a young girl in a small Iowa town. My mom was a very successful saleswoman for a popular direct sales beauty company, and in those days that meant a lot of samples in our home: perfumes, lotions, lipsticks, you name it. Mom showed me what it was like to have a small business. I spent many hours helping her on her sales route, dropping off flyers and delivering orders. At the time I didn't know it, but my internal fire for women small business was being kindled. A few years after graduating college, I found myself managing a Garden Botankia store. Remember, them all you '90s people? I had so much fun trying All. The. Things. It was especially fun to soak in the huge claw foot tub in my first apartment on my own! Fast forward to today and my love for self-care products has only kept growing. My focus now is on ingredients that are good for us, good for our communities, and good for the planet.
